Thanks. I still need to sand and buff a bit but I like how they turned out. And as for the silver bits.. I shall reveal all in my next entry, showing my tools and collections of parts. Most of the radio buttons came from inside a mobile phone - little silver parts that were stuck to the circuit board. I always pick up discarded mobile phones and take them apart. Anything with teeny tiny parts! :) I may be the village weirdo, but I think it's worth it One person's trash is another's treasure, and all that..
The boombox "speakers" are from a pair of earbuds/earphones for an mp3 player. The silver bits on the "radio" are from a mobile phone, and the "box" was a little photograph holder with a clip protruding on a wire (so there's a hole in the back of it now which I can extend a pretend electrical wire out of). The camera uses an old earring for the flash, part of a pen cover and a tiny lens from a mobile phone, and the TV set's silver part is from a mobile phone also. Once you start collecting bits, you notice them everywhere and soon you have a good stash to play with. ;)
