That little fork is all that remains of my childhood toys. How battered it looks. And should I lose it, like I lost that cake decorating tool, that's it: goodbye to my childhood memorabilia. I'll have to put it in my keepsake box. Some girls want diamonds and pearls, but I just want to hold on to the last sunbeams of youth.

Verdict: Disastrous. But I learned from the process. Originally the cat was standing then lying down, but I didn't like how it had turned out so I began to ball up my clay. Looking at it, I could see its limbs and it looked just like it was asleep. So I played around with it, trying to make a cool sleeping cat keychain instead. It's a bit of a wasted effort in terms of how it turned out, but I did learn what not to do, for next time.

That is some very realistic carrot cake! How did you get the cake-y texture?

Before or after baking?

You are NOT helping my diet!

As for the cat, well, I recognized it as one so you're on the right track. :)
